Maria Clara’s graduation: a site that looks like her

Graduation is one of the most important celebrations on the timeline of a life. It is where we gather the friendships, memories and lessons that travel on to the next chapters.

Maria Clara graduated in Advertising from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and, from a very young age, explored the creative, visual and communicative side she has. In early 2026, she celebrated and made official something that started as a childhood passion and became a lifelong profession.

To celebrate that moment her way, Maria Clara counted on Wedy to tell this story and personalize every detail for the people who would be there with her that day. The result was a fun, creative site full of childhood memories.

Before celebrating her graduation with a clear head, Maria Clara had to beat a classic challenge for anyone finishing school: handing in the dreaded final thesis. Except that, putting things in perspective, that was not even the hardest part.

I never thought organizing the graduation party would be more work than finishing my thesis.

Between traveling, working and still handling a thousand details, Maria Clara watched the family group chat (which used to be pure cuteness and cat photos) turn into a help desk. Where is the ceremony, what time does it start, where is the party.

My family group chat, which I used to use to send photos of my cats every hour, turned into a help desk. It went from 100% cuteness to 100% stress.

That was the moment Wedy showed up and became the partner Maria Clara needed. Talking to guests stopped being stressful and became a fun, light process.

I made a site with Wedy and put everything there. Everyone saw what they needed and I stopped answering the same thing all day long.

I arranged through the site for my family to arrive a couple of hours before the ceremony, because I wanted to take a bunch of photos with them before the graduation. When I came out in my gown, everyone was already there waiting for me. It was exactly how I had pictured it, so moving!

An advertising graduate in love with visual aesthetics, Maria Clara experienced personalizing her own Graduation Site as one of the most fun parts of the process.

I am completely attached to the visual side. I spent ages choosing photos, playing with the colors and making everything look like me.

But the high point was the Gift List. Maria Clara let her creativity run and made every item on her list represent a little piece of her story, with childhood photos to bring guests closer to the celebration.

The best part was putting the gift list together, by far. I spent ages looking for childhood photos of me to create gifts with inside jokes that only people who know me would get, always with references to the degree I was finishing. Every time a gift was bought I already had a hunch who it was. And I got several right!

In the end, the site solved a problem I did not even know I was going to have. And on top of that, it made my graduation even more special. Thanks, Wedy 💜
